Investment philosophy / Scope

Conviction, held to the standard of discipline.

Strategic Digital Infrastructure Fund LLC deploys its own capital in digital assets and blockchain network infrastructure, principally on Solana. This page sets out the beliefs that inform that work, the scope within which it is conducted and the discipline applied to it.

01Core beliefs

What SDIF believes.

  1. 01

A coordinated economic system, not only a token

SDIF evaluates Solana not only as a token but as a coordinated economic system: a high-throughput venue for markets, applications, collateral and real-time economic activity.

  2. 02

Multiple independent, measurable sources of value

The question is not simply whether SOL appreciates. It is whether network usage, infrastructure participation and disciplined capital placement can create multiple independent, measurable sources of value over time.

  3. 03

    Discipline over speculation

Conviction without discipline is speculation. SDIF seeks to understand where returns originate before committing capital, and to set limits and procedures in writing before an activity begins.

  4. 04

    A multi-year horizon

The company is structured to participate in networks over multi-year horizons, favouring durable infrastructure and understanding over short-term activity.

  5. 05

    Evidence refines the thesis

The thesis is held as a working view. Research and first-hand operating experience are used to test it, and the company expects evidence to refine it over time.

Conviction without discipline is just speculation.

02Scope

Where SDIF is active.

SDIF invests proprietary capital only. It has no outside investors and is not raising capital.

SDIF invests its own capital, conducts its own research and accepts its own risk. Its activities are concentrated in a small number of connected areas within the Solana ecosystem and the broader infrastructure of proof-of-stake networks.

Network infrastructure participation

Participation in the operation of proof-of-stake networks using company-owned assets, including staking and validator-related infrastructure, research and technical development.

On-chain market and collateral activity

Proprietary participation in digital-asset markets and on-chain collateral activity for the company's own account, within limits set in writing before capital is deployed.

Ecosystem infrastructure research

Research into network design, market structure and the infrastructure on which on-chain economic activity depends, used to inform the company's view of opportunity and risk.

SDIF does not publish positions, counterparties, wallet addresses, capital allocations or results.

03Risk discipline

Judged by controls as well as outcomes.

SDIF approaches digital asset infrastructure with an emphasis on security, operational resilience, risk management, and transparent reporting. Our infrastructure strategy incorporates appropriate custody safeguards, continuity planning, and reconciliation procedures, subject to applicable operational arrangements and internal controls.

The company intends to be judged by its controls as well as its outcomes. Authority, limits and procedures are documented before an activity begins, security and custody safeguards are considered from the outset, and new strategies, venues or systems are not approved by default or by silence. Further detail is set out on the Governance, Risk & Controls page.
